What are some of the hot topics in MS? This webinar will explore cannabinoids and gut microbiota with Michelle H. Cameron, MD, PT, MCR and Ilana Katz Sand, MD.
Dr. Cameron will review the current evidence regarding the impacts of cannabinoids on MS related symptoms. She will focus on the status and limitations of the current research, potential benefits for self-reported spasticity, and potential adverse effects on cognition.
Dr. Katz Sand will begin by introducing some background information about gut microbiota and their role in health and disease. She will then discuss hypothetical mechanisms by which gut microbiota may be relevant in MS. Dr. Katz Sand will review current evidence regarding the role of gut microbiota in MS and discuss current studies. In addition she will discuss future directions for research.
